Kathleen's of Donegal opened in 1987, by my mother, Kathleen Alcock who had a dream to start a life in New York and become a successful business woman! She soon decided to leave our small countryside hometown in Mountcharles, Donegal to take a leap of faith and follow her dream to build a better life for our family across the world. She spent decades building our business from the ground up and creating a town staple in our community. Kathleen has retired back in Donegal, Ireland almost 40 years later, passing on the torch to us as we are still a proudly-owned family business. Over the past several decades, we have been blessed to grow in such an amazing and supportive community, that continues to share our families love and passion for Irish culture!
